Kensington Gardens

Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace is a royal residence set in Kensington Gardens, and has been since the 17th century. It is presently the official London residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Kensington Palace is haunted by one of its previous residents - that of King George II. His apparition has been sighted looking at a weather vane and muttering ‘Why don’t they come?’. Some claim that this could be a re-enactment of the time he was expecting news to be brought from Hanover.
